JP #5

JP #5 ( Quoted topic )

I think that the quote the man wrote has a lot of truth to it. I think younger kids begin to learn things earlier that they really shouldn't because of social media websites, TV or kids at school. I think many people know terrible things they should know because of the Internet or TV. I can say the same because I've always known a lot ever since I was little. Social media and School really exposed me to a lot of things I shouldn't of known when I was young or my age now. I think in our generation adults might be surprised and upset that their child would find out such terrible things but, I don't think the news would scare them. I think age really matters in the scare factor. For example, An 8 year old knowing about intercourse or getting drunk, I think that would awful and scary just because they are so young. Most of adults in this generation wouldn't be too surprised because our innocence has been ruined by the Internet ,other kids, and TV.

The Lorax

If I got to make one book required reading for everyone on the planet to read, I would choose the lorax. I'd choose the book lorax because I feel it would inspire people to use our world for better things. Throughout the story the onceler used the truffler trees to create his product and it ruined the once beautiful forest that all the creatures lived it. The story shows that you can only waste and ruin our world and its surroundings for so long until its not there anymore. I think this would change the world because the story would open people's eyes to create change. The change thats needed.Change for our world living longer and healthier. This story would show that even if no one realizes that change needs to happen one small change can change everything. I think the world would agree if they read it also.
